I couldn't find what I was looking for...

How can I purchase Muave Tea?

At the moment in our online store. Soon we will be announcing few partnerships for local tea lovers, so even better if you are in town.

Can I cancel my delivery after I've submitted my order?

When you submit an order, it's sent directly to our crew, so it can get prepared and on its way to you. That makes canceling orders sort of a challenge. If you really must cancel, and you've ordered directly online, reach out to our Customer Service team through the Contact Us page.

Can I schedule my delivery time?

Kinda yes, kinda no. All online or mobile orders will be delivered as soon as possible--thirsty folk, rejoice--but if you contact us, you’ll be able to choose when you’d like to receive your large-format deliciousness.

I'm addicted, but my spouse drinks only coffee. Does Muave have caffeine tea they can have?

It’s hard to say for sure how much caffeine is in each tea, as this depends on the temperature of the water, the amount of leaves per cup, and the brewing time.

However, we may offer rough guidelines to select black teas when seeking lots of caffeine, and herbals when seeking none. Oolong, green and white teas have moderate amounts of caffeine, though all considerably less than coffee.

Nutritional Info

Nutritional information for brewed tea depends on factors such as the amount of tea brewed per serving size, the temperature of the water, what is included in the blend, etc. For this reason, we don't necessarily have readily available nutritional panels for our teas.

For our selections of black, green or white tea, in which the only ingredient is tea leaves, the brewed teas contain zero calories, and less than 1% of any other nutrient. This is in part due to the fact that we don't actually consume the tea leaves.

Herbal blends which include fruit pieces range, but may contain 5-9 calories for an 250ml cup on average.

Blends which contain inclusions like candy cane pieces or chocolate chips range at about 8-12 calories and between 1g and 5g of carbs per 250ml cup.

Matcha is a different example because we do consume the leaves. We'll be happy to provide more information upon request.

How long does your tea stay fresh?

The answer is…it depends on the tea. Because some of our blends have big chunks of fruit, chocolate and other great stuff, they don’t always stay fresh as long as our straight teas. To keep your teas fresh, always store them in a cool, dark and moisture-free place. Also, keep them well sealed.

As a guideline we generally recommend consuming tea within one year of purchase. However, the specifics will vary according to variety. The Japanese green teas are most delicate, and may begin to show age after only six months. Black and oolong varieties will stay fresh much longer, and may continue to delight for years to come.

What ingredients are you using?

The ingredients of our various teas and blends appear on the individual page that describes the product as well as its packaging. However, few of our teas contain just one ingredient: tea leaves. In such instances, a list of ingredients is not provided.

Is your tea certified organic?

Our teas are not certified as organic.

How much caffeine is there in a cup of tea?

For more detailed information check our handy comparison chart.

Unfortunately, It’s hard to say for sure how much caffeine is in each tea, as this depends on the temperature of the water, the amount of leaves per cup, and the brewing time.

However, we may offer rough guidelines to select black teas when seeking lots of caffeine, and herbals when seeking none. Oolong, green and white teas have moderate amounts of caffeine, though all considerably less than coffee.

Do you have caffeine free options?

We offer many options with no, or low caffeine!

Our herbal teas are all naturally free of caffeine, as they're not blended with tea leaves, but other delicious fruit and herbal ingredients. The exception on this page are the Mate teas; please keep in mind that Mate teas do contain caffeine, and they are marked on the page to alert you!

Our Rooibos & Honeybush Teas, or 'Red Tea' (although not from the actual tea plant), are made from a naturally caffeine-free herbal plant that grows only in South Africa. Along with Honeybush teas (also no caffeine), we have many flavour varieties.

How to prepare my tea?

All of our teas come with temperature and brewing time recommendations written on the label. For leaf quantity, the general recommendation is one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per 250ml cup of hot water. Please note that most modern mugs are more voluminous than that, so adjust accordingly.

How many cups do our sizes make? The cost-per-cup appears next to each packaging size we offer. We hope you may be pleasantly surprised that our fresh, artisan teas may cost so little to enjoy.

What are 'Natural Flavours'?

The flavouring process for our teas begins with the black, green, oolong, white or herbal teas sourced directly from countries of origin. Upon arrival the teas are mixed with natural and nature-identical flavours derived from nature. These are mainly essential oils extracted from vanilla, cinnamon, or any of the other flavours present in our collection.

Once the tea leaves dry, inclusions of apples, cinnamon, ginger, or anything else that the recipe may call for are added. When the mixture is complete, the teas are packaged and made ready for sale.

What is the grade of your teas?

It is not an easy question to answer, as these designations have grown meaningless in recent years.

Decades ago, when Chinese tea industry was government controlled, the grades assigned to various teas were uniform and informative. These standards loosened with privatisation and every farmer claiming that his crop is always "first grade".

Indian and Sri Lankan teas have a different grading scale altogether, focusing more on the size of the tea leaves. Japanese teas are also graded differently, where leaf size may not be as important as the growing conditions or processing.

The best way to assess a tea's quality is to try it. For this reason, we are planning to offer small inexpensive samples of all our products. We also invite you to read unfiltered reviews submitted by verified customers.

Which of your teas are Kosher?

Our teas contain no ingredients that would make them unkosher. In most instances, they are simply dried leaves, with nothing else added.

In cases of added flavours, these come from natural sources, with no ingredients that would render them unkosher.

However, to certify our teas as kosher would be a very expensive undertaking, needing rabbis to visit China, Japan, India and all the other countries from which we source our teas. So the complicated answer to your question is we're not kosher certified, but there's nothing in our teas that would render them not kosher.

How many cups can I prepare from 1 package?

The average amount of cups that can be prepared from 1 pack and the cost-per-cup appears next to each packaging size we offer. We hope you may be pleasantly surprised that our fresh, artisan teas may cost so little to enjoy.

What is the difference between loose leaf and tea bags?

The tea bags sold in your local market typically contain low-quality tea grades called fannings or dust. These yield dark colour, but very little flavour. In contrast, loose leaf teas generally use the whole tea leaf.

Okay, so how does Muave Sip & Save Rewards work?

Once you’re a member, you'll earn 10 points (Sips) per £1 spent at Muave. Earn points automatically when you order on Muave.co.uk. You can redeem your points for free  items. Also, members get additional "Sips" on their birthday and so much more.

I’m into it. How do I sign up for the Sip & Save program?

What can I redeem my Sip Points for?

You can also use your points to help Muave cultivate a better world through nonprofit donations. Visit the Rewards Exchange in our online store to redeem your points.

Did you buy a gift card? Those purchases, as well as taxes, fees (like delivery fees) and tips aren’t eligible to earn points.

Do Sip Points expire?

Sip Points do not expire. You can track your points in the Points History section of your account.

Why can’t I use more than one reward with my online order?

Ever heard of “too much of a good thing?” Just kidding. That’s just how our system is currently set up, but if you’re rolling in the rewards, you should know we think you’re awesome.

If I'm using a reward, promo code, or another offer, will I still earn Muave Sip & Save points?

We call this “the best of both worlds.” When you redeem a reward, promo code, or other offer (like Free Tea), you’ll still be eligible to earn points on other items included in your transaction (say, if you also order a book). As usual, taxes, fees, tips and gift cards purchases aren’t eligible for points.

Can I earn Sip Points if I pay with a gift card?
