Technical Troubleshooting.
Precision is a journey. Adjust these variables to fine-tune your extraction to your personal preference.
Issue: Infusion is too bitter/astringent
Reduce Temperature
Lower the water temperature by 5-10°C. High heat releases tannins too quickly, overpowering delicate volatiles.
Issue: Flavor feels weak or thin
Increase Leaf Ratio
Before adding more time, try adding 1-2g more leaf. This increases TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) without over-extracting bitterness.
Issue: Aroma is lacking/flat
Check Water Quality
Tap water minerals can mask delicate floral notes. Use filtered water with a TDS of 50-100ppm for optimal clarity.
